Ripley County Reads Park Hop

Explore the beauty of Ripley County through its diverse parks! Embark on a delightful adventure with your family through the Park Hop—a scavenger hunt that takes you through awesome town parks, magical nature trails, and our own Versailles State Park. It’s like a treasure hunt, but with nature as your playground!

Grab your passport and let the fun begin! Visit as many parks as you can, unravel the clues, and mark your passport. Bring your passport and finish your journey at the Park Hop Finale on May 3rd to collect your prizes.

The Park Hop will conclude with a Finale celebration on May 3rd at the Oak Grove Shelter in Versailles State Park beginning at 11am. The first 50 kids to arrive will receive a swag bag, and all families attending will be entered into a drawing for an Indiana State Park pass ($50 value).

New this year, the Art in the Park: Art in Nature Art Show & Artisan Demonstrations will take place at the Oak Grove Shelter from 11 AM to 3 PM, allowing families to enjoy interactive art activities such as woodturning, marble art, and pottery making. This partnership adds a creative and hands-on experience to the day’s festivities.
